Jacob Moran is known for his role of Billy in the Blumhouse Universal Pictures blockbuster The Black Phone. Jacob starred as Tristan in Thommy Kane’s New Shoes, which premiered at the American Pavilion at Cannes Film Festival and earned Jacob "Best Actor" and "Rising Star" awards. Most recently, Jacob portrayed David in the horror film The Necklace, released in the fall of 2024. His 2024 calendar has been packed, with the completion of two highly anticipated projects: Regarding Veronica and Nicole Kidman’s Holland, Michigan. Additionally, Brooklyn, Minnesota premiered in the festival market, winning top honors at the Woodstock Film Festival
Jacob has had Guest Star roles in a variety of television shows including ABC’s Wonder Years, NBC’s New Amsterdam, and Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning Christmas on the Square with Dolly Parton. Jacob is also credited with over 300 performances in the First National Broadway show The School of Rock. Beyond acting, Jacob is a dedicated advocate for mental health. As a Founding Youth Board Member of the M.E.C.A. Project, he frequently speaks to audiences on critical issues like anxiety and suicide prevention, offering support and hope to teens.
When Jacob isn’t on set, he enjoys water sports, pickleball, and spending time with his friends. An aspiring pilot, he balances his burgeoning acting career with studies in aviation as a high school sophomore in Atlanta, Georgia. Jacob is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) and Actors' Equity Association (AEA), solidifying his place as a dynamic force in both film and theater.
